Become a trainer yourself

Marine businesses can benefit from having a composites, electrical or mechanical trainer on staff to lead regular workshopsor mentor fellow employees. The Landing School’s marine-education professionals will teach you or a member of your staff to become a trainer for your workforce so you can lead your own continuing education programs at your shop or yard.

A trainer-in-training begins the T3 series with introductory courses in education methodology, including how to organize and lead effective training sessions and how to assess the trainees’ success. A trainer-in-training then takes part in intensive, hands-on technical sessions to become fluent in the technologies he or she intends to teach. Once a trainer-in-training has demonstrated proficiency in all required subjects, she or he actually teaches a technical workshop under the guidance and evaluation of an instructor from The Landing School.
