In addition to a rich array of on site general education courses, the Landing School also offers second year students the opportunity to participate in a hands-on-experience during the January IPAP in Cuba and earn general education credits.

Second year students who successfully complete a 1-credit seminar in the fall on culture and communication are qualified to apply for the extra 1-credit IPAP travel experience to Cienfuegos, Cuba, Where they work with students from the Academia De Remos de Cienfuegos on the repair and restoration of rowing shells and small sailboats.

Students are responsible for all travel costs and receive 2 general education credits towards their Associate degree for the successful completion of the seminar and the IPAP experience.

It is an exciting time to be in Cuba and the historic city of Cienfuegos is filled with rich cultural attractions to complement the technical course components.
