Position Title: Composite Technician
Location: Bridgeport, CT
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Knowledge of composite construction methods
● Ability to follow practices in accordance of OSHA requirements , Fed & State regulations
● Knowledge of composite boat building principles
● Experience with vacuum laminate methods
● Working knowledge of vinyl ester and epoxy resins
● Application of epoxy based fairing and primers
● Utilization of hand and power tools including basic tools
● Ability to match and spray gel coat
● Work within environmental requirements and practices for application/removal/disposal of
paint/paint waste/residuals in accordance with OSHA requirements and federal and state laws
● Availability to work overtime
● Ability to work on scaffolding, man lifts and ladders
● Ability to work in a confined space
● Ability to lift 50 pounds
Qualifications:
● Landing School composites course graduate
● Positive attitude and willingness to learn within a rapidly growing yacht and ship repair facility
