Over the last 40 years Darling's Boatworks has acquired a reputation of completing the highest quality work on the west coast of New England. We are currently looking for an experienced candidate who is willing to work hard and be able to produce the high quality work that we are known for. We operate in two locations and are affiliated with a local marina where we operate a small shop. Our main shop is 3 miles inland where we store and work on over 30 boats every winter, from 15 to 45 feet.
Job Summary: The candidate must have experience with gelcoat and fiberglass repair techniques. As well as an understanding of multiple finishes including but not limited to, urethan paints, varnish, and Awlgrip. Woodwork and an understanding of wooden boat construction is a plus.
The position is available immediately and is full time year round. After a six month qualifying period we offer paid vacation, a quarterly profit sharing bonus, a simple IRA plan with company match, and paid holidays.
