Position Title: Technical Yacht Rigger
Compensation/Rate: $18-25/hr.
Job Description: Kittery Point Yacht Yard is looking for an experienced technical yacht rigger to join our team. Applicant must have an extensive working knowledge of sailboat rigging and hardware. Must be detail oriented. Tasks include splicing and swaging, winch service, rig tuning, and stepping/unstepping of masts. Basic carpentry skills a plus.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be professional and team-oriented, but also able to work independently. Must have good communication skills and be detail oriented. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work outside in all weather conditions. Must be comfortable working in, on, and around boats. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be willing to undergo background check. Other boat related skills are always a plus. Position is full time, year-round, M-F 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. We offer health, dental & vision insurance, retirement plan with company match, paid holidays and paid time off. Pay rate is $18-25 per hour, based on experience.
