Position Title: MARINE TECHNICIAN, RIGGER

Compensation/Rate: $15-$20 depending on experience

MARINE TECHNICIAN, RIGGER:

  • $15-$20 depending on experience

  • Seeking marine technicians to fully rig and install electrical and mechanical systems on new boats.

  • Full-time, candidate must be able to work at least 40 hours a week (10-hour shifts) 6AM-4:30PM Monday thru Thursday.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Able to pass a drug test and complete a local security background check.

Marine Technicians Responsibilities:

  • Installation of Electronics (NEMMA experience a plus)

  • Installation of fuel, mechanical, and plumbing systems

  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Marine Technicians Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years Marine experience preferred

  • Strong mechanical background (preferred)

  • Must have wiring ability (12 volt DC)

  • Preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently without close supervision

  • Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail is a requirement for marine mechanics. They must be responsible and careful to prevent injuries and equipment damage. good at solving problems. Solid manual dexterity and repair skills have good hand-eye coordination and be physically fit Environment The ability to stand for long periods is important for marine mechanics. Marine mechanics should be able to handle high noise levels and be comfortable with kneeling, stooping and working in cramped and uncomfortable positions. Prepared to twist and turn their bodies often and must be open to working outdoors in various weather conditions.
