Position Title: Product Engineer
Compensation/Rate: TBD - Based on experience
Company: Scout Boats is looking to hire a Product Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well versed in marine engineering practices, including but not limited to the production environment. This person must be self-motivated, a team player, and knowledgeable about boatbuilding.
Daily Task:
Support the shop floor as necessary
Create and revise technical drawings and work instructions
Detail design using Rhino 3D and AutoCad
Assist in development of new product as needed
Help to maintain an accurate bill of materials
Work with the team to solve problems using a pragmatic approach to boatbuilding
Position Requirements:
Competence with Rhino 3D, AutoCad 2D, and Microsoft Excel
General knowledge of: Composites and structural design (i.e. fabric and resin systems)
Electrical systems (12 VDC and 120/240 VAC)
Plumbing design
Strong problem solving skills
Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques/ practices

Schedule: This position works Monday – Thursday 7 AM- 5 PM and Friday 7 AM- 1 PM or as needed to complete tasks.
Must be able to work overtime if needed.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening upon hire.
