Position Title: Wooden Boat Builder
Compensation/Rate: $20-$25 per hour
Location: Seville, OH
Position Summary: A carpenter is responsible for constructing wooden boats by following construction drawings while maintaining CBW's standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
Accurately interpreting construction and drawings
Evaluating drawings for accuracy and alerting the Project Manager of any discrepancies
Evaluating materials for any defects before use
Maintaining a clean and organized work space, assisting the production team in maintaining clean and organized common areas
Maintaining accurate job documentation
Identifying opportunities for improvement/cost-savings
Adhering to all safety procedures and policies
Adhering to CBW employment policies
Other responsibilities as defined by the Production Manager
Required Skills, Experience, & Education:
Vocational/trade school/college program specializing in wooden boat building
Must provide the minimum amount of hand tools required to complete assigned tasks
Working knowledge of basic carpentry work, print reading, tool use, materials
Excellent organization skills; attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
Basic knowledge of PC based office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
