Position Title: Mate
Compensation/Rate: $13.00 to $14.00
POSITION:
The mate is responsible for ticketing all vehicles using an iPhone 6.
They are responsible to know the different types of vehicles, e.g. 1, 2 or 3 axle vehicles, different types of trucks and 1, 2 or 3 axle trailers.
Under the direction of the Captain the mate will help load the boat.
The mate prepares the boat for departure.
Upon arriving at the island the mate ties up the boat and unloads the vehicles.
The boat is then loaded with vehicles leaving the island.
Upon returning to the mainland the mates ties up the boat and unloads the vehicles.
The process is then repeated for the next run.
Shift are anywhere from 5 to 6 hours.
The boat runs from 7:00 AM and shuts down anywhere from 9:00 PM to 12:00 midnight depending on the time of year and day of the week.
