Position Title (1 of 4): Lead Marine HVAC

Compensation/Rate: $25-$40 per hour based on experience

Location: Dania, FL

About the Job
We are looking for experienced lead marine HVAC Technicians. Responsibilities include installation and repair of marine AC, refrigeration systems and water makers on yachts.
• Install, wire and connect various models of HVAC, water makers and Refrigeration systems
• Ability to follow blueprints, piping and wiring diagrams
• Ability to troubleshoot various manufacturers technology
• Documents work performed
• Identifies parts needed to complete job
• Reads wiring specs and diagrams.
• Cleans tools and work area
• Works with other technicians as needed
• Able to cooperate with other departments to accomplish project goals
• Follow defined instructions and procedures
• Can work independently
• Has tools necessary to perform job duties
• Can supervise projects and technicians to accomplish objectives
Experience & Requirements
The right candidate will have a minimum of 4 plus years’ experience working on high end yachts and pride themselves in delivering a quality product.
• Experience working with testing equipment and tools
• High School Diploma or GED
• HVAC certifications
• Driver’s License and good driving record
• Proper Tools

We are looking for experienced Marine Painter. Responsibilities include performing a variety of Paint projects on yachts.
• Understands various paint systems for use on different yachts (fiberglass, aluminum and steel)
• Understands how to apply proper boat protection
• Ability to prepare and fair vessel hulls for paint application
• Ability to brush and spray paint to yacht quality finishes
• Utilizes proper safety guidelines associated with paint prep and applications.
• Cleans tools and work area
• Works with other technicians as needed
• Able to cooperate with other departments to accomplish project goals
• Follow defined instructions and procedures
• Can work independently
• Has tools necessary to perform job duties

Summary:
Accomplishes objectives through proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, a hard worker, and one who can help us maintain a healthy inventory, while keeping a clean and organized work environment
Essential Duties:
• Assigns daily tasks to department employees.
• Assists with all parts department functions as needed, including assisting customers or technicians with acquiring parts, answering department phone calls, shipping, and receiving.
• Monitors inventory levels and adjusts items and quantities stocked as demand changes, or jobs require.
• Reviews part/material orders and in a timely fashion order parts
• Returns parts to manufacturers when needed.
• If there is a discrepancy in the parts inventory, investigate and resolve.
• Familiarizes oneself with pricing and availability of parts requested.
• Regularly reviews reports and takes corrective action if goals still need to be met.
• Supervises, trains and evaluates department employees.
• Forecasts goals for the department and strives to meet them.
• Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, and rental customers.
• Able to establish pricing that generates sufficient gross profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
• Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
• Creates a tight and organized process on returns.
• Ensures that the same high-quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal employees and staff.
• Works with the service manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts.
• Analyzes departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness.
• Executes a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork.
• Directs shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
• Handles customer complaints immediately and professionally.
• Ensures that all purchases are accurately accounted for.
• Enforces safety requirements, such as forklift training and operation, processing of MSDS sheets on all products carried, and OSHA Right-to-Know.
• Maintains a professional and clean appearance.
• Participates in growing a healthy work culture at the company.
• Must be able to lean new computer software. Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook

Position Summary:

About the Job
• Must have a thorough knowledge of various diesel engines and generators, troubleshooting, repair for a variety of marine power. Prefer mechanics with a certification in MAN, CAT, Yanmar, Detroit Diesel or Cummins
• Knowledge of boats electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to install new engines and controls
• Cleans tools and work area
• Supervises and leads job technicians
• Able to cooperate with other departments to accomplish project goals
• Follow defined instructions and procedures
• Can work independently
• Has personal tools required to perform job duties
Experience & Requirements
The right candidate will have a broad range of experience working on yachts and pride themselves in delivering a quality product.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field servicing large yachts
• Ability to utilize manufacturer handbooks for troubleshooting and assembly.
