Position Title: The Founding Technical Team
Compensation/Rate: $40-$50/hour
Job description M.P. Marine was started with the intention of replacing chaos with a plan. In the world of boat wiring, we don’t do "winging it." We provide our team with a clear roadmap so that every system we touch is built right, stays safe, and just works. We are looking for an Apprentice who wants to move past the guesswork and master the craft of high-end marine electrical systems.
The Opportunity: Help Us Build the Standard We are looking for our first full-time employees to help us set the bar for marine electrical excellence. Whether you are a seasoned expert looking for more autonomy or a motivated newcomer looking for a high-tech trade, we have a seat at the table for you.
Role 1: Experienced Lead Marine Electrician
The Focus: Lead the autonomous diagnosis, design, and installation of foundational AC/DC systems. You are the expert on Li-Ion battery systems, BMS integration, and NMEA 2000 digital networking.
The Standard: You own "The Last 5% Rule." From perfectly parallel cable runs to labeled harnesses, you ensure the "invisible" work is a work of art.
The Handover: You take the mystery out of the system for the boat owner, teaching them how to leave the dock with total confidence.
Qualifications: 5+ years of marine/industrial electrical experience. Expert-level knowledge of ABYC E-11 standards.
Compensation: $38.00 - $45.00/hour + Performance Bonus eligibility.
Role 2: Entry-Level Marine Technician (Apprentice)
The Focus: Provide reliable support to the Lead Tech and Owner. You’ll learn the future of marine power—routing cables, securing connections, and maintaining a safe, organized shop.
The Mindset: You are a "Technical Investigator." You "Search First" using our digital resources and manufacturer portals to find the right answer before turning the screwdriver.
The Growth: We don't expect you to know everything, but we expect you to be honest. At M.P. Marine, mistakes are for learning, not hiding.
Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude, high school diploma/GED, and a desire to build a career in the electrical trades.
Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00/hour + $500 Certification Bonus.
