Position Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Summary: Founded in 1859, this New Bedford based manufacturer is internationally known for premium marine hardware. We are seeking a welder to advance our shop team. This individual must have a desire to learn, a great attitude, and the discipline to maintain top-quality work.
Primary responsibilities: This new team member will have the following responsibilities, with an emphasis on flexibility and teamwork:
• Welding in stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze of stock and custom parts
• Machine stock parts as necessary to maintain production schedule
• Perform non-automated secondary machining of parts including boring, prep, and packaging for finishing
• Sanding, grinding, polishing, and bead-blasting components with strong attention to detail
• Monitor stock in department; notify purchasing of low stock levels
• Participate in a continuous improvement program
• Maintain a top level of quality in all work and a clean work environment
• Work with Shop Manager and shop teammates to achieve department objectives
• Accurate and on time reporting and paperwork submittal as required
• Other reasonable related tasks as assigned from time to time

• Continually improve production techniques to increase efficiencies and cost savings
• Maintain a safe, professional and spotless work area
• Zero defects with 100% on-time deliveries
