Job Summary: Jonesport Shipyard is currently seeking a skilled individual experienced in marine carpentry, fiberglass repair, finishes, mechanical and marine systems maintenance. Experience in multiple aspects of boat repair and maintenance including seasonal commissioning and decommissioning is required. Supervisory experience and ABYC certification is helpful but not required. Advanced rigging and splicing expertise is a plus. Professional development is supported and encouraged.
The successful candidate will be:
Comfortable with physical labor
Capable of running boats up to 25'
Skilled with hand and power tools
Comfortable taking on a variety of boatyard related jobs
Able to communicate effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Able to problem-solve independently and seek direction as needed
Willing to follow direction and procedures, team-focused and self-driven
Attentive to details
Capable of planning and executing self-directed projects
