Position Title: Yacht Designer
Compensation/Rate: $22-35 an hour

Gold Coast Yachts is a successful multi-hull design and building company located on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Gold Coast Yachts is looking to hire a dedicated individual to join our Design & Engineering Team.
This is a full-time position assisting with the design and engineering of composite sail & power vessels.
The position could include drafting, 3D modeling, engineering, or hands-on problem solving.
Exact duties will be tailored to an individual’s abilities and interests and vary with the evolving needs of the business.
Additional required traits: We seek applicants with the following attributes:
Experience working as part of a design or engineering team
Commercial or private sailing experience
Familiarity with passenger vessel requirements
Sound understanding of different machinery and electronics
Able to work closely with co-workers to teach, learn, and problem solve
Experience with composite boat building materials and methods
Proficient with 2D CAD drafting and 3D modeling, preferably with Rhinoceros
Understanding of engineering principles and small craft structures
Ability to perform calculations, studies, and other related tasks
