Summary:
Provides dockside and fueling service to guests of marina by assisting with all guests’ needs and fulfilling their requests as part of Fore Points Marina’s customer service standards while maintaining a clean, secure and safe facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Provides service to marina and facility guests that meet established quality standards for all marina related operations; ensures that recognized standards are maintained, and that quality and delivery commitments are met.
• Fully understands and complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as pertains to all duties related to this position.
• Safely secures vessels to docks, monitors utility services (power, and water), runs black water pump out, disposes of waste and general facility sanitation in compliance with SOPs.
• Expedites any and all requests from vessels including escorting incoming marina guests to/from yachts, assisting with luggage, and offering information pertaining to available services and facilities of marina. Refers guests and visitors to marina office to arrange concierge services (laundry, provisions, reservations, etc.).
• Delivers messages, mail and packages to yachts.
• Maintains VHF radio and in-person communication with vessels, marina office, and marina management in a clear and professional manner.
• Monitors marina access points, greets every guest upon entrance, provides directions and information to visitors, redirects unauthorized personnel off the premises.
• Provides general security and supports marina and facility security teams in their security related efforts; reports disturbances in dock area to Dock Master and maintains general vigilance.
• Diligently monitors all marina property and facilities for general upkeep and cleanliness. Cleans and stocks bathrooms, empties trash, collects and disposes of discarded debris, bottles, or trash in common areas; continually maintains highest standard of quality.
• Performs general maintenance and participates in tasks related to the cleaning, maintenance and repair of the docks and upland marina premises; miscellaneous light carpentry and landscaping projects as assigned.
• Uses tools as intended and returns to proper place, maintains storage area in an organized manner.
• Ensures marina environment is free from hazards to guests, visitors and staff. Follows all safety protocols as indicated in SOPs.
• Routinely operates motor/water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment, including transporting of guests about the facility in company vehicle/cart. Keeps golf carts clean and charged, where applicable.
• Provides fuel service to marina and facility guests that meets established quality standards for all fuel operations.
• Strictly adheres to safety and environmental regulations and meets quality and delivery commitments when performing environmentally sensitive activities such as spillage clean up, transporting fuel, and removing black water, waste oil, or garbage from vessels.
• Ensures proper care and safety to customers and property while securing and releasing dock lines and otherwise assisting customer's arrival/departure from the fuel dock.
• Fills fuel tank of all vessels with gasoline or diesel fuel to level specified by customer.
• Maintains tank fuel log; ensures adequate fuel supplies are on-hand at all times; notifies Dock Master of fuel capacity and order status.
• Performs general clean-up/maintenance of fuel dock including proper storage of fuel hoses, clearing fuel dock of debris and unnecessary items and equipment, emptying trash on a regular basis in accordance to environmental and safety regulations, keeping area clean and clear and ensuring a presentable and customer-friendly atmosphere.
• Responsible for re-stocking and maintenance of marina products available for sale on fuel dock such as bagged ice, sunscreen, etc.; charges customer appropriately and collects payment via marina provided system.
• Carries out all other reasonable duties assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability/willingness to work shift work, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to swim.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), customer service cashier experience and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. VHF Operator’s certificate and basic first aid preferred.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and deep waters. The employee may work near or around toxic or caustic chemicals while wearing proper personal protection equipment and following strict company safety standards. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
