Position Title: Dockmaster
Compensation/Rate: $25/hr.
Location: Edgartown, MA
Position Summary:
Responsible for operating and maintaining the Club launch Helot while in
season.
Transports Club members and guests between the mooring field and Yacht
Club.
Transports junior sailors between the Club, the Sailing Center and Club
floats.
Responsible for daily maintenance of Helot, including cleaning, fueling
and routine engine maintenance.
Maintains ships log for Helot, including passenger counts, emergency
drills, etc.
Monitors VHF radio and communicates with Members, Guests and EYC
base.
Holds current U.S. Coast Guard Limited Master license or Master license.
Performs emergency duties in the event of hurricane, fire, accident or
other disaster.
Assists members with dockage and mooring.
Performs any other duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and
General Manager.
