Position Summary:

Job Title: Manufacturing Systems Specialist

Pamlico Yachtworks, LLC is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Systems Specialist to join our outstanding Supply Chain/Logistics Team. This role supports the timely and adequate supply of information and materials for production while continuously seeking ways to reduce overall costs. Functions include generating reports, updating work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs), coordinating with internal departments, assisting in ERP implementation, and building, managing, and improving work order pick lists.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and update reports to communicate material status
• Build, maintain, and improve Excel spreadsheets for additional applications
• Reviewing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and current inventory to determine min/max levels
• Monitor material flow to identify bottlenecks and forecast problems
• Assist Purchasing with PO management, tracking material shipments, and publish ETAs
• As needed, process purchase requisitions from departments for non-production materials, tools, etc.
• As needed, manage POs - write and send, get acknowledgements, adjust dates/quantities
• Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and work order updates
• Assist in design and implementation of a new ERP system
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, must be fluent with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, Epicor Kinetic ERP experience is a major plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy, and detail oriented.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, basic math, and negotiation skills preferred.
• Ability to work in an office and/or shop floor environments, plus be able stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Education and/or Experience:
 Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred. . However, a HS Diploma with relevant years of experience will be considered.
• 2-3 years of manufacturing experience and boat building experience is preferred.
