Position Title: Marine Tech

Compensation/Rate: 18-25

Location: Portsmouth, RI

Position Summary:
I am looking for a motivated person with a basic knowledge of sail boats and marine systems who is willing/wants to learn and gain experience in the field. I have a contract to assemble new boats for a local broker and the boats are stacking up. Projects will consist of but are not limited to bottom painting, assembling rig, and commissioning all systems on the boats. This person will have the opportunity to assist with other projects, such as working with racing yachts.

About us: Kingdom Marine offers a variety of sailboat services. We work with a local broker to get their new boats commissioned as well as maintain their charter fleet during the sailing season. We also work with racing yachts for any type of racing by helping racers get their boats ready and keep up with the work list of items that constantly break while racing.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is trying to develop their skills while gaining real world experience. A sailing background is a plus but not required. Requirements/ Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional training and ABYC/NMEA certification a plus)
- Understanding of electrical and marine systems on boats
- Be able to work independently or with a team
- Be able to work in both in-door and outdoor environments
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Possess time management, organization and multi-tasking skills.

- Verifiable references of past work experience
- Valid Drivers License

Daily Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair and install electrical and marine systems in boats including bilge pumps, charging systems, electrical panels, autopilots, hydraulic systems, multifunction displays, & radars.
Handle multiple work orders and utilize computer systems to document work that has been performed
