Position Title: Mechanic, Marine Engine, Generator

Compensation/Rate: $21.00 to $33.00 /hour dependent on experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Note that the below are normal for this position but are not all-inclusive. • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience and the ability to install complete mechanical systems, have a drive and desire to meet or beat schedule and budget for project with no rework.
• Must have an American WeldingSociety certificate.
• Must be comfortable working on all boat systems.
• Must be familiar with working on onboard plumbing systems, hydraulics system installations, electrical, mechanical, and thermal troubleshooting and repairs.
• Must have knowledge of applicable local, state and national regulations such SMAQMD, CARB and EPA. State and national regulations.
• Must be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings and prints, and use electrical testing and calibration equipment to include but not limited to: Digital-Volt-OHM-Meters (DVOM), Mega-ohmmeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Quality Meters, and Loop Calibrators.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experienced working with Diesel engines.
• Some knowledge of HVAC is required.
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
• 3 years’ experience working as a full time diesel mechanic or marine engine/generator mechanic.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Expected to work outside normal hours of operations as support.
• Clean driving record.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Outside conditions, extreme heat and cold. Marine operations are subject to varied wake and motion.
• Ability to carry materials weighing upwards of 100 pounds.
• Ability to determine safe or unsafe conditions. Process calculations occasionally.
• Observe for safety. Vision correctible to 20/40. Full color vision, no night blindness. Full range of all limbs.
