Position Title:   Experienced Yacht Rigger

Compensation/Rate:   $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

We are expanding our rigging capability and are looking for a serious professional who takes pride in their craft.

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced rigger capable of working independently on standing and running rigging, deck hardware installations, rig inspection, and mast tuning. Ideal candidates have hands-on professional rigging experience and understand the performance requirements of modern cruising and racing platforms.

Responsibilities

Step & unstep masts (carbon & aluminum)
Standing rigging installation (wire, rod, composite)
Running rigging fabrication, replacements, and upgrades
Advanced splicing (Dyneema, Spectra, high-modulus)
Deck hardware installation (track systems, clutches, winches, travelers)
Furling system installation & service (Harken, Selden, Facnor, Reckmann)
Rig inspections and written documentation
Diagnose alignment, compression, loading, and failure issues
Customer-focused recommendations & performance upgrades


Requirements

3+ years professional yacht rigging experience
Strong splicing ability
Able to work safely aloft
Familiar with modern deck hardware brands
Reliable transportation to local yards and marinas
Good communication and customer interaction skills
Ability to work independently and to a high standard

Preferred Background

Race boat or offshore program experience
Hydraulic vang or backstay systems
Carbon spar service
Modern sail handling systems (top-down furling, structural furlers)
Familiarity with high-performance hardware and composite standing rigging
Nice-to-Have

Marine electronics awareness (B&G, Raymarine, Masthead sensors, etc.)
Composite or carbon fiber repair
Basic electrical/mechanical experience
