Seven Star Marine is a marine service and repair company specializing in hydraulic systems for commercial and recreational vessels. We support both local and transient customers with reliable, high-quality hydraulic repair and installation services.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Marine Hydraulic Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone looking to build a career in the marine or hydraulic industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn installation, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems onboard vessels and in-shop.
No marine experience required — mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are key.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior technicians with hydraulic repairs and installations
Assemble and replace hydraulic hoses and fittings
Support troubleshooting of pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves
Perform basic preventative maintenance and inspections
Clean, organize, and maintain tools and work areas
Follow safety procedures and company standards
Learn to read hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude (automotive, diesel, industrial, or farm equipment experience a plus)
Basic hand tool knowledge
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to work outdoors and around water
