Position Title: Marine Hydraulic Technician

Seven Star Marine is a leading marine service provider specializing in hydraulic systems, vessel repair, and marine equipment maintenance. We service commercial fishing vessels, tugboats, offshore support vessels, superyachts and recreational marine craft.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Hydraulic Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems onboard marine vessels and in-shop. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, hands-on experience with marine hydraulic equipment, and the ability to work independently in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair marine hydraulic systems including winches, cranes, steering systems, stabilizers, thrusters and deck machinery
Install hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and hoses
Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
Perform pressure testing, system flushing, and fluid analysis
Fabricate and assemble hydraulic hose and tubing
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
Work onboard vessels at dock or underway (as required)
Qualifications
3+ year’s experience in hydraulic systems (marine experience preferred)
Strong understanding of hydraulic theory and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to read hydraulic schematics
Experience with high-pressure systems
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
Willingness to travel or work overtime when required
Preferred Qualifications
Marine industry experience
Welding or fabrication skills
Familiarity with brands such as Parker, Rexroth, or Eaton
