Commencement Events
Celebrate the Class of 2026 with a weekend that brings together tradition, craftsmanship, and the spirit of the marine industry. The weekend begins with the Blessing of the Fleet at Wells Harbor, honoring student-built vessels in a relaxed, waterfront setting, followed by the Academic Showcase & Commencement Ceremony, where guests can explore student work and celebrate graduates as they enter the marine industry, with remarks from our commencement speaker and maritime historian Margherita M. Desy.
Blessing of the Fleet

Location: Wells Harbor Community Park
The annual Blessing of the Fleet is a longstanding maritime tradition that celebrates the completion of student projects and blesses the vessels for safe voyages ahead. A light lunch is provided for students and their families. Guests are welcome to explore the beautiful setting and enjoy kayaks, paddleboards, beach access, and walking trails.
Academic Showcase & Commencement Ceremony

Location: The Landing School
Join us as the entire Landing School community celebrates the achievements of our graduating students as they prepare to enter the marine industry. The Academic Showcase offers a chance to tour the shops, view finished student projects and design portfolios, and connect with students and faculty. The Commencement Ceremony celebrates our graduates with remarks from our commencement speaker, Margherita M. Desy.
