Position Title: AutoCAD Operator
Compensation/Rate: Upon Experience
Job Description: Position requires an inherent knowledge of boats and a basic understanding of AutoCAD. Rhino 3d knowledge is a plus. You will be required to create CNC toolpaths from AutoCAD drawings (no G-code experience required) and draw layout approval drawings to spec from pictures and a job order. Basic skills in Microsoft office using Excel and Word are required for creating cut-lists and instructions that go with the finished project. Organization skills and attention to detail are very important. The job requires you to look at pictures and understand the project at hand without seeing a physical part. Having a background in wood working or knowledge of hand tools is very helpful. The machine operates in the same manner and this knowledge adds to the ability to understand how to create toolpaths that will correctly and safely be cut on the CNC machine. A self-starter with great communication and team building skills that can communicate with our sales department to address concerns or questions about design is necessary. We are using BiesseWorks Editor to take our AutoCAD files and create the toolpaths; this is a proprietary software for Biesse CNC machines. Experience with this software is preferred but is not required. Hands on training in this software will be sufficient.
