Position Title: Rigging Technician
Compensation/Rate: $21-$25 depending on experience.
Job Description: Great Island Boat Yard is in search of a full-time, Rigging Technician. The candidate should be very detailed and have an interest in sailing & rigging systems, but prior experience is not necessary. The candidate should be comfortable with heights and working around cranes and heavy equipment. The rig shop at Great island has two experienced riggers that can mentor and train a new rigger or work seamlessly with an experienced candidate.
Successful candidates will be detail oriented and energetic team players looking for physical work in a lively environment. Prerequisites include the ability to lift, bend/crouch and wear a respirator as necessary.
