Position Summary:
General Electronics Technician
Required Skills: Entry Level position in which we will provide in-field training to gain experience with the following skill set to include electronics, networking, communications, a/v, computer systems.
Description: Applicant must be able to work independently under the supervision of a lead technician on service and installation jobs, as well as be part of a team installer group. Skill set should include basic electronics, networking, communications, Audio/Visual, and computer systems. Have good customer service skills and logical troubleshooting capabilities are a must. This is an hourly full-time year-round position installing new marine electronic packages and servicing of existing systems.
Technician would be expected to install the following electronics: AIS, GPS, Chartplotter, Radar, VHF, Fish Finders, Security and Monitoring Systems; but not limited to. Have the knowledge to properly install AC and DC electrical wiring, panels, systems and troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues involving the electronic packages. Also, a successful candidate will have the knowledge base and experience of installing NMEA 0183 & N2K systems. We are known for our audio/visual and onboard communication and networking solutions; so, knowledge of audio-visual design and installation is desired. We are happy to train and expand technician skill set for the right candidates.
