Job Description: Marine Fiberglass Technician - wanted with minimum 5 yrs. experience in all phases of fiberglass and gel-coat repairs. Knowledge in spraying bottoms and topsides would be a plus. McMichael’s is well known for its structural fiberglass repairs and custom projects. Facilities have heated sheds for year round repairs. Servicing both power and sailboats at 2 full service yards in western part of Long Island Sound. McMichael’s is also a boat dealer for many of the finest brands in our industry.

Candidate must take pride his/her work, be punctual and a team player. This is a full time position with plenty of year round work. Job Description: Rhodes Yacht Design is a small design and tooling firm that is a mainstay in the marine industry known for quality. We design boats and manufacture tooling for a handful of the premier custom sportfish boatbuilders, as well as numerous production companies. We have an in-house CNC machine and cut many of the items we design.

We are located in Charleston, SC with a newly renovated shop/office space.

We are looking for an individual to help in general shop/cnc tasks & to fabricate flat composite panels that will be used in a stringer system. We are contracted to manufacture the structural stringers for one of the premier local boatbuilders, and we need an individual to help us create a top quality product. Job Description: Draftsman/Marine Design

Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding is seeking to hire a Draftsman. This is a full-time position, located

in Somerset, MA. Occasional overtime is available. Candidate must pass pre-employment

physical and random drug testing.

GENERAL DUTIES:

This position designs and creates technical drawings for new vessel construction, utilizing the

required computer programs noted below. Candidate must be a team player, have good

communication skills and work well with others to resolve any design or production issues.

Required Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, Autocad, Rhino or

Solidworks programs.

Knowledge of Kubotek Key Creator is a plus. Engineering Degree and Boating background are

also a plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Create 3-D CAD models and render into 2-D CAD drawings (including but not limited to):

Mechanical systems

Interior accommodation spaces

Exterior arrangements

Structure

· Revise drawings as needed to maintain as built records or resolve errors/omissions.

· Ability to articulate concepts with hand sketches for job site communication

· Create bill of materials of completed designs.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written in order to

effectively communicate with production and design staff.

· Assist in sea trials and commissioning as needed:

Deadweight survey

Vessel condition and performance

Corrosion survey

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Must have the analytical ability to research problem areas.

· Ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines effectively and respond well to last

minute, high priority, time sensitive projects.

· Must be a self-starter, well organized, and detail oriented.

· Ability to read and comprehend work specifications, blueprints, and technical publications.

· Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
