In-kind donation wish list

The Landing School appreciates the generosity of donors who provide the school with boat building materials, services, tools, and other non-cash gifts. These donations are essential to support our students, faculty, programs, and facilities. Below is our list of in-kind items needed at The Landing School to help us provide the best educational experience possible. Of course, we are glad to accept other non-cash gifts and items that can be used by The Landing School. To donate an item or learn more about our programs and how donated items help our school, please contact us.

Utility Trailer

A utility trailer (14 feet or longer) will allow us to pick up lumber, building materials, parts, and equipment that is too large to place in the bed of a pick-up truck.

Industrial Forklift

The Landing School is always in need of moving items to make room for project or for receiving delivered items to the school. An industrial forklift would make those tasks easier while providing another relevant learning opportunity for our students in operating a yard forklift.

Power Tools

Stationary shop and handheld power tools are always appreciated in new or well-maintained used condition (e.g., SawStop, Fein, Mirka, Milwaukee, Makita)

Hydraulic Boat Jacks

Hydraulic Boat Jacks will allow us to more easily and safely secure project boats in our shops versus our current manual boat jacks.

Large Format Printer 36ā€ to 44ā€

As we continue to grow our Yacht Design Program the need for more advanced and versatile large format printers is increasing. (e.g., HP, Epson, Canon new or used)

Lower Unit Jack

As more project boat opportunities become available with stern drives and outboard lower units,  having a jack specifically designed to remove these units for repair would make the process easier and more efficient in our Marine Systems shop (e.g., new or used Brownell SD3 Heavy-Duty Drive Jack).

Overhead Crane

An overhead crane in our Wooden Boat Shop would add to the versatility of our campus and allow us to take on more diverse projects in that area.

Outboard Motor Test Tanks

As we expand training and certification programs in outboard engines, having multiple test tanks will allow us to be more efficient and effective in our training.

Electric Landscaping Tools

As we look to solutions that will help us reduce pollution and our carbon footprint, the ability to convert to electric landscaping tools is an environmental impact goal for the school.

21ā€ self-propelled mower (EGO, STIHL or similar)

String trimmer (EGO, STIHL or similar)

Leaf blower (EGO, STIHL or similar)

Industrial Grade Laptops for Marine Systems Diagnostic

As we look to expand our Marine Systems program to include work on proprietary outboards and electronics, the need for durable laptops that can be used on our project boats and certification training is a priority. (e.g., Panasonic Toughbook or Dell Rugged laptops)

Industrial Lumber Storage Racks

As space is always at a premium at The Landing School, the ability to store lumber in an organized  manner is critical for maintaining an accessible and safe work environment for our students and faculty.

A.E.D.

The Landing School would benefit from 2 additional A.E.Dā€™s for the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.
